Made from Australian cotton, our Alvar Top has been designed to be a loose fit before tapering into structured sleeves. An exaggerated rib in a super soft and stretchy jersey brings texture to this easy, everyday style. Looks great worn loose or half-tucked into the front of a pair of wide leg pants to bring more body definition to your look. This top has been modelled off our best selling Wide Stretch Top and in this updated fabrication is a new look for the lovers of this design.

Material

95% Australian Cotton 5% Elastane

This fabric has a natural stretch with a slight structure, allowing the fabric to sit away from the body and provide shape and form to the garment. This is a jersey fabric with a smooth surface. Cotton fibres help to create a cool, comfortable and breathable finish.

Australian cotton growers lead the way in clean, quality cotton fibres with reduced environmental impact. Over the past 30 years, growers have significantly reduced water, pesticide, and land use and are working to improve soil health and biodiversity on their farms. Australian cotton is traceable from field to spinning mill and supports families and communities in regional Australia.

Cotton is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

Maker

This style was made in China through production agent Eastlink Sales, established in 2006 by Mrs Crystal Wu. Crystal has a great team based in Shanghai who work with us to manage our development and production. They also act as the go between with the two factories where our garments are made, Suzhou Miaoyun Garment Co Ltd and Rugao Huaji Garment Factory.

Eastlink are one of our keenest producers in terms of producing more sustainable product. They are actively assisting us with communication between fibre producers and mills when we are sourcing the environmentally sustainable fabrics that will form our ranges in the future.

Both factories are members of Sedex and have undergone a SMETA social compliance audit.

Size and Fit

An oversized body with slim fitting sleeves. The key fit points to check for best size are around the upper arm and the curve of the armhole. As an oversized design we love the slouchy look however if you prefer a slightly neater fit you could go down a size.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
