The Tukko Sweater is a long-sleeved sweater with set-in sleeves and a ribbed crew neck, cuff and hem. Crafted from boucle yarn and sitting at a slightly cropped length, the sleeve of this sweater creates a slight balloon shape with a wider rib cuff.

Material

44% Alpaca 44% Wool 12% Recycled Nylon

This boucle yarn offers a textured finish with a soft, slightly fluffy handfeel. The wool in this blend offers temperature regulating qualities, as it retains warmth when needed, while remaining cool and breathable on the body. Alpaca creates a fluffy finish for that cosy, comfortable feel. The recycled nylon allows for durability that will keep your knitwear lasting longer.

Alpaca is generally farmed using lower impact traditional methods. Their soft hooves reduce the amount of soil erosion caused from alpaca farming, allowing for minimal damage to the land used for farming.

Recycled nylon is a low impact, circular fibre made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste like plastic bottles. We choose to use recycled rather than new as part of our commitment to reduce waste and create more sustainable products.

The merino wool in this blend is verified non-mulesed and sourced from South Africa, and our alpaca wool is sourced from farms in the Peruvian highlands.

Wool and alpaca fibres are natural, renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

These knits were made by Hop Hing Woollen Sweaters Factory who we have been working with since 2007. They are a family-owned business established by the late Mr Tsui Senior in 1962. Now owned and managed by his son Jeff, they have their head office, development team and sampling in Hong Kong and their main manufacturing in Dongguan, China. We have a great, long-term working relationship with them. We are actively working to source more sustainable yarns with them through Novetex and UPW.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular social compliance audits.

Size and Fit

The Tukko Sweater is a regular fit through the body with a voluminous sleeve. The key fit points include the bust, hem and length.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

Care Instructions

• Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Cool iron
• Dry cleanable
• Cold hand wash using eco-friendly detergents
• Do not rub, wring or spin dry
• Squeeze out excess water
• Gently pull wet garment into shape
• Dry flat in shade
• Cool iron on reverse
• Knitwear can shrink up to 3cm in length and width however after pressing and wear the yarn will relax and grow, which our production team consider with each design.
