NATIONAL RETAIL MANAGER

LOCATION
This role is based on location within our office in Preston and across our network of ELK retail doors throughout Victoria. We are open to considering this role operating in either a Full Time or a Part Time capacity (no less than 0.8 Full Time Equivalent or 4 days per week)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Retail Manager to lead our retail operations. This role involves setting and surpassing sales and profitability targets, ensuring efficient and productive store operations, and delivering a consistent, engaging, brand-aligned customer experience across all retail touchpoints. As a senior manager, you will inspire and motivate retail teams, maximize sales opportunities, and reinforce our company culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales & Expense Management: Establish sales and operational budgets, identify growth opportunities, and manage sales performance.
- In-Store Experience: Implement training and coaching to ensure a cohesive, exemplary customer experience and a high degree of product & sustainability knowledge
- Retail Store Operations: Develop and implement retail operations policies, oversee new store rollouts, and ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
- Team Leadership and Motivation: Build and develop high-performing teams, manage performance, and ensure alignment with company values.
- Ethics & Sustainability: Promote ELK's ethical and sustainability initiatives, minimize waste, and optimize the use of sustainable materials.

WHO YOU ARE?
- Extensive experience driving sales performance, utilizing data to influence decision making
- Proven ability to develop, deliver & embed sales and service models.
- Experience managing multi-faceted retail businesses across multiple states (including centers, concessions & strip shops), with an appreciation for collaboration across wholesale and online.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, coaching and engagement.
- Alignment with ELK's vision, mission and values
- At least 8+ years in the Australian fashion apparel retail industry.
- Current unrestricted Australian driver's license, road worthy & reliable vehicle and ability to travel as required.

ELK, a pioneer of independent Australian design was founded by husband and wife duo Marnie Goding and Adam Koniaras in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia. Founded on a belief in creativity, innovative design and an authentic approach where people are at the heart of every decision.
ELK creates bi-annual collections that are informed by a design ethos where simplicity meets innovation. Seasonal collections typically lean towards natural hues and maximise the use of fine quality raw materials sourced from all over the world.
