Crafted from a lightweight fabric, the Metti Velvet Pant has handy side and back pockets, elastic at the back of the waistband for comfort, and a faux cuff for added interest. The fabric is soft to the touch, and has a slight sheen to it.

Material

80% Viscose 20% Nylon

This luxurious velvet has a slight sheen and is soft to the touch. The lighter weight allows this fabric to drape around the body, offering an added level of comfort.

Viscose is made from cellulose from timber that has been processed and spun into fine fibres.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry.

The Viscose fibres in this garment are from producers with a green shirt ranking according to the most current Canopy Style Hot Button Report. These producers are considered low risk or have taken substantive action to eliminate risk of sourcing from ancient and endangered forests.

Maker

These garments were made by a highly specialised manufacturer in China called Wellsilk International who were established in 2004. With an inspiring founder and manager Mrs Ellen Miao at the helm, Wellsilk is one of the most progressive factories actively involved in assisting us with our sustainability journey. They are a mid-sized operation and make our more tailored items and pieces that need special details.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular SMETA social compliance audits. They have also completed the Sustainable Apparel Coalition Higg Index factory module.

Size and Fit

The Metti Velvet Pant is designed for a regular fit in an easy, pull-on style with an elastic back waistband. They are quite a straight cut in the hip so you can size up for a more relaxed fit through the hip. The key fit points are in the hip, seat and thigh.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

• The fabric used for this garment is viscose, made from the natural and renewable cellulose fibres of wood pulp. It has a delicate feel, it is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. Viscose is durable, it breathes well and is lovely to wear. The construction of all viscose fabrics result in unique properties that perform differently to other fabrics and require specific care.
• We recommend cold hand washing in a mild detergent. Only wash when required to reduce water consumption.
• Gently pull the garment back into shape and air dry, either flat or hanging, in the shade. After washing, viscose will appear to have shrunk and will have a coarse hand feel. Don’t worry! Once it is dry, use a warm steam iron on the reverse. The fabric will iron out easily and regain its shape, hand feel and fluidity.
• On the first wash, there may be a small variance in length measurements from 1 to 3cm which our production team take into account in the design.
