Describe Jardan in three words.
Australian, Family, Home.
Australian, Family, Home.
How did Jardan begin?
Jardan has grown from humble beginnings, when my husband Nick and his brother Michael bought the business 20 years ago. Since then, we have extended our product range and expanded overseas, driven by our belief in making locally, acting mindfully and minimising waste.
What is your favourite piece in Jardan at the moment?
I would have to say the Valley Curved Sofa for its soft rolling curves and bold geometric lines.
Who are your style influences?Â
I have always been a big fan of India Mahdavi for interiors. Her use of colour and shape is so original. I remember when I first started working for Jardan about 10 years ago and Nick took me to her shop in Paris I was blown away. Bat Gio is someone I love to see on Instagram, to see what she is wearing as she’s so creative with her fashion and posts.Â
What advice would you give for those looking to style their home sustainably?Â
Check where the product has been made and what it made of. We believe that longevity is intimately intertwined with quality. That a high-quality product should be made with local materials and last a lifetime.
If you could open a Jardan store anywhere in the world, where would it be?Â
I would love to give Los Angeles a go!
What is your favourite piece from ELK for the holiday season?
I’m loving the Olive Green Lys Top and Lys Pant. It is so light and easy, especially when travelling.
Describe your ideal holiday.
Anywhere, as long as I have my friends and family with me.
