A go to dress in a classic Elk shape. Made from a blend of viscose and organic cotton. This is a classic day dress with a subtle self stripe through the fabric. With a lined, crossover front bodice with a hook and eye for modesty, curved front pockets and a gathered waist skirt this is an easy throw on style. The sleeves are a cap style and have a gentle bat wing shape. Wear this with trainers or sandals - or in cooler weather with boots and a chunky sweater.

Material

63% Viscose 22% Organic Cotton 15% Nylon

This fabric is woven using a special technique to create a subtle, tonal striped pattern. The finished fabric is soft and lightweight, and perfect for Summer garments.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that all our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry and preference those with a green shirt ranking according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. Our partnership with Canopy includes a commitment to ensure all of our viscose products have not been sourced from ancient and endangered forests. Our traceability systems confirm the viscose fibres in this garment are from green shirt rated producers.

Certified organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or hazardous pesticides, which protects biodiversity and waterways and builds and maintains soil fertility.

Cotton and viscose fibres are renewable and biodegradable.

The organic cotton for this fabric was sourced from Turkey.

Maker

This garment was made by Nobland International, a Korean based manufacturer with a core focus on innovation and sustainability. Our garments are made in their NBVO factory located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Nobland is committed to transparency and corporate social responsibility, with systems and processes in place to ensure safe and fair labour standards and a smaller environmental footprint. With women making up 80% of their workforce, they offer a range of benefits and training programs to support and empower their female employees.

Their low emission green factory is energy and water efficient, utilising an eco-wash process that delivers water savings of 99.6%.

Nobland Vietnam is part of the Better Work Vietnam program and has been awarded a High-Performance Factory status. They are ISO 140001 certified for their environmental management system and have completed the Sustainable Apparel Coalition HIGG Index factory module.

Size and Fit

The upper of this dress is relaxed and the skirt is full making it an easy fitting style. We recommend you take your usual size. The dress can be taken up easily if needed.

• The fabric used for this garment is viscose, made from the natural and renewable cellulose fibres of wood pulp. It has a delicate feel, it is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. Viscose is durable, it breathes well and is lovely to wear. The construction of all viscose fabrics result in unique properties that perform differently to other fabrics and require specific care.
• We recommend cold hand washing in a mild detergent. Only wash when required to reduce water consumption.
• Gently pull the garment back into shape and air dry, either flat or hanging, in the shade. After washing, viscose will appear to have shrunk and will have a coarse hand feel. Don’t worry! Once it is dry, use a warm steam iron on the reverse. The fabric will iron out easily and regain its shape, hand feel and fluidity.
• On the first wash, there may be a small variance in length measurements from 1 to 3cm which our production team take into account in the design.
