The Alli Cardigan is a long-sleeved cardigan with a dropped shoulder and a ribbed hem and sleeve finish. The cardigan comes with a metal kilt pin, providing a closure option. Crafted from a fluffy and warm knit, this cardigan is wearable and durable

Material

40% Recycled Nylon 30% Alpaca 30% Merino Wool

This knitted blend has temperature regulating qualities, with wool retaining warmth when needed, while remaining cool and breathable on the body. Alpaca creates a fluffy finish for that cosy, comfortable feel. The recycled nylon allows for durability that will keep your knitwear lasting longer.

Alpaca is generally farmed using lower impact traditional methods. Their soft hooves reduce the amount of soil erosion caused from alpaca farming, allowing for minimal damage to the land used for farming.

Recycled nylon is a lower impact material compared to its virgin counterpart, and is made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste like plastic bottles. We choose to use recycled rather than new as part of our commitment to use preferred fibres according to our ELK Preferred Materials Guide.

The merino wool in this blend is sourced from South African, non-mulesed sheep, and our alpaca wool is sourced from farms in Peru.

Maker

This style was made by Singtex Knitting Factory located in Dongguan, China. They have been manufacturing knitwear for us for many years, and are helping us to source fibres that align with our ELK Preferred Material Guide, such as recycled yarns and responsibly farmed wool.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular SMETA social compliance audits.

Care Instructions

To care for your Alli Cardigan, please do not wash in the washing machine. This garment is suitable for a hand cold wash or dry clean only.

Consider airing the sweater over washing

Knitwear can shrink up to 3cm in length and width however after pressing and wear the yarn will relax and grow, which our production team consider with each design.
