THE ELK FIT PHILOSOPHY
At ELK we believe in fashion that makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. Our design approach is built around creating fashion that appreciates your individuality - we spend a lot of time considering how you will feel, live, and move in our designs.
Every body is different as are each of our designs. This fit guide will help you decide how you would like an ELK piece to fit.
Our design intent is based around four key fit approaches, described as; Contour, Regular, Relaxed and Oversized.
We designate a fit description based on a garment's most fitted feature. For example, if a dress has a contour bodice and a relaxed skirt, it’s called a Contour Fit.
For a detailed understanding of fit points, please check the design descriptions on each product page to help find your best fit.
ELK CONTOUR FIT
A fit design that sits closer to the body, the ELK Contour fit is often constructed from jersey, knit, or stretch-infused fabrics. This results in a neater silhouette without compromising on movement.

ELK REGULAR FIT
The ELK Regular fit is designed to suit your individual body shape and size, without excess fabric or drape.
Think of the Regular fit as your true-to-size option. To understand what "true to size" means for you, be sure to measure your most crucial fit points, such as the bust and waist. This helps you make informed sizing decisions for a comfortable and flattering fit.
ELK RELAXED FIT
Designed for comfort and freedom of movement, the ELK Relaxed fit offers a roomier cut than our Regular fit. With its intentionally looser design, this fit provides a free-moving style that allows the garment to drape more loosely on your body.
ELK OVERSIZED FIT
Offering roominess and freedom for the wearer, the ELK Oversized fit is designed for layering over other pieces, or when belted, tied or tucked gives a more dramatic, voluminous drape and style to an outfit.
