Take a directional, modern spin on the traditional bomber jacket with our soft, black Teig Leather Jacket. Crafted from soft sheep leather, this design features a rib collar, a metal two way zipper which opens from the top or the bottom, elastic in the cuffs and hem, side pockets with concealed press stud closures and is also fully lined in silky, recycled polyester in our Odense print for an additional point of difference. With a number of considered, comfortable details, this jacket is a great throw-on piece which can work with a wide variety of outfits and adds a contemporary, urban flair to your wardrobe. The leather is sourced from an accredited LWG tannery.

Material

100% Sheep's Leather

Leather is a natural, renewable material made from animal hides that have been preserved and softened through a tanning process. We select our leathers based on their individual properties and the intended application.

Leather lasts a long time, ages well and is easy to care for and repair. Leather will develop patina over time and gets better with age. Buying a well-made leather product can be considered an investment that supports slow fashion. 

This product is made from leather sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) audited and rated tannery. LWG aims to improve the environmental impact of the leather industry by assessing and certifying leather manufacturers. The audit protocol covers energy use, waste, water use and chemicals, as well as traceability.

Chromium VI is not used in any tanning processes for our leathers.

Maker

B.N. Enterprises, located in Delhi, India, has been a long-term supplier of ELK, starting with a small collection in 2013. They are a family business, founded in 1991, with all members of the immediate and extended family playing key roles, and are now one of our main suppliers of leather goods. We have an ELK representative on the ground working with them on transparency, quality and operational standards. 

All leathers used by BN are sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG) gold rated tanneries. Additionally, all products meet European REACH standards for chemical safety. 

BN is a member of both Sedex and BSCI, and the factory undergoes regular social compliance audits.  

Size and Fit

This jacket is a classic, bomber-style jacket with a regular fit across bust. The key fit points to reference for the best fit are across the bust and in the hem and length.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
