Return eligible pieces you are ready to part with and we will reward you with a voucher as thanks for supporting a more circular fashion system.

This program is only for apparel.

What is (RE)NEW?

(RE)NEW is our take-back program for ELK apparel. Return pieces you’re ready to part with and we’ll give them a second life through resale or responsible recycling. For every eligible item you return, you’ll receive a voucher to spend on something new.

Classic design can be loved again and again. (RE)NEW helps keep pieces in circulation and textiles out of landfill.

What makes an item eligible for (RE)NEW?

We currently accept ELK apparel only.

Please check your items against the L.O.V.E.D criteria before submitting. Pieces must be freshly laundered, in very good condition, and include original ELK brand and care labels.

Items with stains, strong odours, holes, heavy pilling, or broken fastenings cannot be resold.

Only ELK branded apparel is accepted at this stage. Accessories, bags, jewellery and footwear are not currently eligible

How do I submit items for (RE)NEW?

You can submit eligible pieces either online via post or in store.

Before submitting, check your items against the L.O.V.E.D guidelines at the top of this page.

Complete the online form to register your pieces. Once submitted, we’ll email you instructions to lodge your return via Australia Post.

For a limited time, postage is free. After this promotional period, (RE)NEW will be available in store only.

To lodge your return:

Begin a new return submission via the Australia Post portal.


Write RENEW as the order number.
Select Return Reason “#8 RENEW Take Back Item” and add your contact details.
Use the label or QR code sent to your email.
Package your items securely and lodge your parcel at any Australia Post location.
You’re welcome to include multiple eligible items in the same parcel. Please send your items within 4 weeks of receiving your shipping instructions.

In store

Check your items against the L.O.V.E.D guidelines before bringing them in.

Bring your freshly laundered, eligible apparel into any ELK retail store. Our team will assess your items on the spot and issue your voucher for approved pieces.

(RE)NEW submissions are not accepted at partner boutiques that stock ELK.

What reward will I receive for eligible items? 

You’ll receive a $10 digital ELK voucher for every approved item.

Vouchers are issued as a total amount for all your approved pieces and sent to your email once your items have been assessed.

What happens to items that are not eligible for resale? 

If an item isn’t suitable for resale, we’ll direct it to a responsible recycling solution where materials can be reused or repurposed. We aim to redirect textiles away from landfill and into appropriate recycling streams wherever possible.

Our primary textile recycling partner is BlockTexx. ELK is the first Australian fashion brand to collaborate with BlockTexx for end-of-life garment recycling. Their process allows blended fibres to be separated and recycled into new materials.

Items submitted by post that are deemed ineligible will not be returned. If you would prefer your pieces to be assessed before leaving them with us, we recommend submitting them in store.

How can I shop the (RE)NEW collection? 

(RE)NEW pieces are available to shop at selected ELK retail stores.

Each location carries an ever-changing edit of returned favourites, so the selection will vary by store and season.

Participation in the ELK (RE)NEW program is subject to assessment of each item upon receipt. Garments must meet the ELK L.O.V.E.D criteria and be laundered and prepared for resale before submission.

By submitting items in store or by post, you confirm they have been checked against these criteria and are clean.
Only eligible items will receive a voucher, issued per approved piece. Voucher values are determined by ELK and may vary or change at any time.

Ineligible items will not receive a voucher and, where possible, may be responsibly recycled or repurposed by ELK. Items submitted by post that are deemed ineligible will not be returned to the customer.

ELK is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Vouchers are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and must be used within 28 days from the date of issue.
