Material

25% Merino Wool 30% Organic Cotton 45% Recycled Nylon

This smooth fluffy knit is made from a blend of fibres to provide temperature regulation, durability and breathability.

Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or hazardous pesticides, which protects biodiversity and waterways and builds and maintains soil fertility. The organic cotton for this fabric was sourced from Turkey.

Wool is a natural animal fibre. It is known for maintaining warmth while offering breathability, making it a comfortable fibre for layering. The wool fibre in this fabric has been sourced from Australian and South African farms that meet global standards for responsible husbandry practices and environmental care of agricultural land, ensuring that sheep are treated with respect and soil health, waterways and biodiversity are protected.

Recycled nylon is a lower impact material compared to its virgin counterpart, and is made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste like plastic bottles. We choose to use recycled rather than new as part of our commitment to use preferred fibres according to our ELK Preferred Materials Guide.

Maker

This knit was made by Dongguan Heng Chen Garments, who have been working with us for our knitwear since 2022. Their factory is in Changping Town, Dongguan, China. The factory is a member of BSCI, and undergoes regular social compliance audits.
