Product Details

The Joia Shirt Dress is a midi-length, button-through dress with a neat shirt collar. From the departure lounge to the office, the Joia dress is a transeasonal hero piece. Despite its elegance, the Joia Shirt Dress offers an exceedingly comfortable fit due to its short capped sleeves, dropped shoulder, gathered waist, and functional buttons that can be unbuttoned up to the waist seam. The dress is crafted from a silky ECOVERO blend - an ELK™ environmentally preferred fibre. The limited seasonal Calla Print is elegant and contemporary, with a touch of surrealism. The blend of vibrant colours, floral elements, and digital distortion creates a canvas for individual interpretation. The print pairs easily with black and navy wardrobe staples, whilst also pairing seamlessly with vibrant hero accessories.

The Calla Print is a yardage print and the print placement will vary on each garment, making each piece unique.

62% ECOVERO™ Viscose 38% Viscose Rayon

This smooth, floaty fabric has a matte sheen that gives it the perfect versatility to dress up or down. It has a silk-like feel, fluid drape and comfortable breathability.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose is a man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF), derived from wood pulp.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are recognised by CanopyStyle and EU Ecolabel certification as meeting high standards for environmental practice. This includes a low risk of sourcing raw materials from ancient or endangered forests, and the recycling of water and chemicals in the processing stages. According to Higg's life cycle impact assessment data, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generate up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. 

Through our work with not-for-profit organisation Canopy, we are sourcing more than 95% of our viscose fibres from producers that have a green shirt rating according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. This rating is a reflection of Canopy's assessment of the producers' engagement with CanopyStyle audits, their contribution to conservation, innovation initiatives, sourcing policies, transparency and chemical management.

Maker

Manufacturer: Jimmy Fashions We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.

In early 2024, the Jimmy had solar panels installed on the rooftop of the factory, to help provide renewable energy for their operations.

The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages. We have been sourcing our linen fabric from Tongling Worldbest for many years. This fabric mill is certified under the OEKO-TEX 100 Standard, ensuring the fabric is free from harmful substances.

Size and Fit

The Joia Shirt Dress is a midi-length dress. It features a regular fit bust, and fixed relaxed fit waistline. The skirt is full and relaxed.

The key fit point for this garment is the bust. 

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

  • Green dry cleaning preferred.
  • Cold hand wash using eco-friendly detergent.
  • Do not machine wash (even on delicate cycle).
  • Do not soak, rub, wring or spin dry.
  • Drip dry in shade.
  • Warm iron on reverse.
  • 1cm to 3cm shrinkage in length will occur on the first wash.
  • Once ironed the fabric will relax and return to original hand feel and appearance.
