1% for the Planet

We are proud to announce ELK has joined 1% for the Planet as a business member.

A globally recognised organisation, 1% for the Planet was founded in 2002 when Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, met and bonded over their shared love for the outdoors. Realising their responsibility to protect our planet, they decided to give 1% of their sales back to the environment - regardless of whether they were profitable.

Joining 1% for the Planet has been a goal of Co-Founders Marnie Goding and Adam Koniaras for many years. Achieving this membership is an exciting milestone in ELK's ongoing commitment to positive change.

As part of the membership, ELK receives a 1% for the Planet certification, which establishes our commitment to donating 1% of our annual sales to environmental causes. This membership gives ELK an opportunity to work with new charity partners and also provides the opportunity to introduce charities from our established network. Charities approved by 1% for the Planet join a global network providing further opportunity to extend their good work.

We look forward to sharing details about our chosen partners as we implement new and ongoing initiatives. We will continue to update our ELK Family along the way, as we continue our sustainable journey with 1% for the Planet.
