The Del Skirt is an A-line skirt in a statement all-over print with a dark, contrasting, wide ribbed waistband that can be worn extended for added drama, or folded down. There are also gathers at the skirt below the waist, and side pockets.

Material

Main: 70% Viscose 30% TENCEL™ Lyocell

Trim: 46% Viscose 46% Nylon 8% Elastane

This fabric has a smooth surface and soft handfeel, with a gentle drape that makes it perfect for layering.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are derived from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres have gained a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible, closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that all our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry and preference those with a green shirt ranking according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. Our partnership with Canopy includes a commitment to ensure all of our viscose products have not been sourced from ancient and endangered forests. Our traceability systems confirm the viscose fibres in this garment are from green shirt rated producers.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant. The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.

Size and Fit

The Del Skirt is a regular fit through the waist, due to the ribbed knit waistband. It is slightly more relaxed through the hip thanks to the gathers below the waist, and the skirt flows into an A-line hem opening. The key fit points are the waist, waist stretched, hip and length.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

• Knitwear can shrink up to 3cm in length and width however after pressing and wear the yarn will relax and grow, which our production team consider with each design.
• The fabric used for this garment is viscose, made from the natural and renewable cellulose fibres of wood pulp. It has a delicate feel, it is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. Viscose is durable, it breathes well and is lovely to wear. The construction of all viscose fabrics result in unique properties that perform differently to other fabrics and require specific care.
• We recommend cold hand washing in a mild detergent. Only wash when required to reduce water consumption.
• Gently pull the garment back into shape and air dry, either flat or hanging, in the shade. After washing, viscose will appear to have shrunk and will have a coarse hand feel. Don’t worry! Once it is dry, use a warm steam iron on the reverse. The fabric will iron out easily and regain its shape, hand feel and fluidity.
• On the first wash, there may be a small variance in length measurements from 1 to 3cm which our production team take into account in the design.
