Product Details

The Olsson Dress is a shift dress made from French linen that becomes softer with each wear. It features batwing short sleeves with rolled cuffs, a gently rounded neckline with a keyhole closure, and functional side seam pockets. Side splits add ease of movement, making the Olsson Dress a versatile staple for busy days at the office and Sunday luncheons alike. Available in the limited seasonal Mulberry shade.

  • Crafted from French linen that softens and relaxes with wear.
  • A structured fit in a relaxed fabric - allowing for dynamic styling.
  • Manufactured at a factory sourcing up to 50% of its electricity from rooftop solar.

Material

100% French Linen

Linen is a light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear.

Linen is a natural plant fibre, grown from the flax plant. The crop itself is naturally pest-resistant and requires minimal water to grow, meaning it demands fewer resources than crops such as conventionally-grown cotton.

Linen grown in France follows more traditional methods of growing and processing. For example, the crop is stripped back to prepare it for textiles using a dew-retting process. Dew-retting makes use of natural sunlight and dew to soften the crop, rather than using intensive chemical or water processes.

Maker

Manufacturer: Jimmy Fashions
Fabric Mill: Tongling Worldbest Linen & Ramie

We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.

In early 2024, the Jimmy had solar panels installed on the rooftop of the factory, to help provide renewable energy for their operations. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.

We have been sourcing our linen fabric from Tongling Worldbest for many years. This fabric mill is certified under the OEKO-TEX 100 Standard, ensuring the fabric is free from harmful substances.

Size and Fit

The Olsson Dress is an approximately knee-length style. It is a relaxed fit garment throughout the bust and body.

Key fit points for this dress are the bust, hip and length.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
