95% Organic Cotton 5% Elastane

Crafted from a blend of organic cotton and a touch of elastane, this yarn-dyed stripe jersey offers the perfect blend of natural comfort, durability, and stretch.

Cotton is a natural plant fibre. It is known for being breathable, durable and soft. Organically grown cotton avoids the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals in the farming process, helping to maintain good soil health, protect waterways and and reduce water & nitrogen pollution compared to conventional cotton. The cotton fibre in this fabric was organically grown in India.

The yarn-dyed stripe design enhances the fabric`s timeless appeal, with the yarns dyed before knitting to ensure long-lasting vibrancy and depth of color. This method creates a refined, classic aesthetic while enhancing durability and resistance to fading over time.

A touch of 5% elastane allows for comfortable stretch and ease of movement, while helping the fabric maintain its shape. Elastane is a synthetic, man-made fibre, constructed to provide extra stretch to a finished textile.

We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.

In early 2024, Jimmy installed rooftop solar panels on his factory, and estimates more than 50% of the factory's electricity to come from this renewable source. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.
