The Wide Leg Culottes are a classic pant featuring a striking silhouette. Made from a cool feel fabric, they have a slight sheen and a medium weight. Featuring a front flat waistband with an elasticated back waistband, side pockets, and an internal belt, they can be worn high or on the hip. A bold cuff at the ankle adds weight to the pant which amplifies their drapey design. Wear with platform sandals or flats and an ELK Classic A-Line Tee for a stylish summer look.

The Wide Leg Culottes are a regular fit around the waist and then fan out to a wide, drapey leg. We recommend selecting your usual size guided by the hip measurements below:

100% Viscose

The fabric used for this garment is viscose, made from the natural and renewable cellulose fibres of wood pulp. It has a delicate feel, it is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. Viscose is durable, it breathes well and is lovely to wear. The construction of all viscose fabrics result in unique properties that perform differently to other fabrics and require specific care.

  • Hand wash
  • Do not machine wash (even on delicate cycle).
  • We recommend cold hand washing in a mild detergent.
  • Only wash when required to reduce water consumption.
  • Do not bleach or soak
  • Do not tumble dry or spin dry
  • Cool iron on reverse
  • Dry cleanable

  • Line dry in shade
  • On the first wash, there may be a small variance in length measurements from 1 to 3cm which our production team take into account in the design.
  • Gently pull the garment back into shape and air dry, either flat or hanging, in the shade. After washing, viscose will appear to have shrunk and will have a coarse hand feel. Don’t worry! Once it is dry, use a warm steam iron on the reverse. The fabric will iron out easily and regain its shape, hand feel and fluidity.

This style was made in China through production agent Eastlink Sales, established in 2006 by Mrs Crystal Wu. Crystal has a great team based in Shanghai who work with us to manage our development and production.

They also act as the go between with the factory where our garments are made, Yao Fa Garment Factory.

Yao Fa Garment Factory undergo annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages. They are also measuring their environmental impact through tracking their electricity use. In 2023, the factory's investment in Renewable Energy Certificates meant that they operated on 100% renewable electricity.

    Black wide leg culotte

    I have just started working in a casual sales position at Elk. The black culotte is a great uniform choice as I can style it with so many tops. The comfy fit and easy care for cleaning have made them a favourite pant. A pleasure to recommend to customers!

    Comfort and style

    Lightweight, flowing, comfortable around the waist - Im buying in another colour. They are quite wide for a short person, and I have a larger stomach/torso than legs so Im going to buy down a size to reduce the material from the waistband down. Love them, Nice cuff design at the bottom to give some shape there
