To be eligible for an exchange or refund, the item must meet the following criteria:
- Received within the above applicable timeframes.
- Proof of purchase is provided via receipt or order number.
- Returned in its original, unused condition with ELK tags attached.
- Shoes returned in their original box.
- Purchased from www.elkthelabel.com or an ELK retail store.

STEP 1 You will need your email address and order number. |
STEP 2 If you a returning an item for exchange, we will send the new item out to you for free. Choose printing the label at home or at an Australia Post Office. |
STEP 3 Post your parcel Securely wrap your parcel and simply drop off at a convenient street post box, Post Office, or Parcel Locker. |

PAYMENT PROCESSING
What will happen for an item exchange:
- When you drop off your parcel to Australia Post, and they have scanned it, this will prompt our Melbourne Distribution Centre to prepare your new item for shipping.
- We recommend you take your parcel directly to a post office because it is the physical scanning of the label barcode that prompts reserving the stock for you.
- Keep an eye out for your new order confirmation via email.
What will happen for a full price item refund:
- Payment will be refunded to you via your original payment method upon receipt of the order into our Melbourne distribution Centre. We aim to process returns within 1-2 business days, once the item is received.

Refunds on exchanged items:
- If you would like a refund for an item that has already been exchanged online, this must be processed via our online returns portal (Full price only). Exchanges completed in-store can be refunded in-store.
HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM TO AN ELK RETAIL STORE
Simply visit an ELK store and provide our retail team with proof of purchase.
- If you originally purchased your item online, please show our team the Online Order Confirmation with the Order Number that was emailed to you shortly after placing your online order.
- If you originally purchased at an ELK store, please show your paper receipt given to you at the time of purchase or that was emailed through to you. If you have lost your receipt but have an email profile with us, then we can check your purchase history for you.

NOTE: Items purchased from our Clearance Store can only be processed through the Clearance store directly.
FAULTY ITEMS
In the unfortunate case you have received an item you believe to be faulty, please contact our Customer Service team.

- Items will be assessed, and we will repair, replace, or refund on a case-by-case basis.
- We recommend emailing a photo to Customer Service, clearly highlighting the fault.
We follow the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) guidelines and reserve the right to repair or replace the item we deem to be faulty.
PAYMENT METHOD
Refunds
You will be refunded in the same way you chose to pay.
- If your original purchase was split over a gift voucher and another payment method, we will refund onto the gift voucher first, and any balance onto other payment method. Please note, this is a function of Shopify, the software we use for our website and our retail stores, so unfortunately, we are unable to modify this process. We thank you for your understanding.
If you purchase online, you will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been completed.
AfterPay Refunds
For online purchases, your refund will be returned automatically.
For a purchase made at an ELK store, our retail team can assist you with a refund at any ELK store. The following steps are required to issue your refund:
- Open the AfterPay App on your phone and select the order you are returning in store.
- Click the details of the order, select "Returning an Order” and follow the prompts.
Please allow up to 10 days for processing your AfterPay refund. Please note, refunds from AfterPay will often appear as a reduction on your balance owing rather than a lump sum refund back to your original account. Please ensure you use a protective bag and a registered/traceable form of postage as ELK will not be responsible for goods that are damaged or lost in transit from you to us
