100% Merino Wool
This garment has been crafted from a soft merino wool yarn.
Merino wool is a natural animal fibre. It is known for maintaining warmth while offering breathability, making it a comfortable fibre for layering.Β Merino wool is especially fine, creating a soft finish that has a lower likelihood of pilling or causing itchiness.
Responsible animal husbandry practices are important for ensuring that sheep are treated with respect. For this reason, we have prioritised sourcing the merino wool fibre in this fabric from farms in Australia that do not practice mulesing.
Maker
Manufacturer: Jimmy Fashions (Zhejiang, China)
We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.
In early 2024, Jimmy installed rooftop solar panels on his factory, and estimates more than 50% of the factory's electricity to come from this renewable source. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.Β
Size and Fit
The Merino Wool Wrap Dress has a contoured fit through the bust and waist - sitting close to the body. The knitted jersey merino has good stretch and theΒ dress flows into a regular fit through the hip.
All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
